Frequently asked questions

Why is general dentistry important?

Your general dental treatments are vital for helping you maintain an excellent level of oral health and protecting your smile from bacteria and decay. Regular visits to your dentist ensure potential problems are spotted and treated early, before they can progress to a more costly and involved issue.

Can I request sedation for my dental treatments?

If you are particularly nervous about the thought of dental treatment, and feel you would benefit from sedation to help you relax during your visit, please talk to us. We want to do all we can to help you access our services and care, and sedation can be a good option for more anxious patients. Please discuss your options with us.

How often should I visit the dentist?

Most patients are advised to visit their dentist for a routine check up appointment every six months, although this is not always the case. You may be able to visit once a year, or need more frequent visits to help keep your dental health in control. You may also need to visit the dental hygienist for a professional deep clean in conjunction with your check ups.
