Scott graduated from Bristol Dental School in 2012 winning prizes in Oral Surgery and communication skills. Scott joined Charlton Road Dental in 2016 after working in a range of dental practices and now limits his practice to providing dental implant and oral surgery procedures.
In order to provide the most up to date dental implant treatments, Scott completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Dental Implantology at the University of Bristol in 2020, achieving a distinction. Since completing this he has attended hundreds of hours of implant training including the completion of intensive training with the world-renowned Prof Istvan Urban. In 2023 he successfully completed Prof Urban’s most comprehensive training programme, the Advanced Surgical Master Curriculum in Regenerative Implant Dentistry. Scott is an active member of the International Team for Implantology. In 2017 he successfully achieved membership to the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh.
Scott provides oral surgery procedures including surgical extractions, wisdom tooth extractions and biopsies.
Scott’s passion and expertise for surgical dentistry has led to him being appointed as a Clinical Lecturer in Oral Surgery at Bristol Dental School. This involves teaching the next generation of dentists how to extract teeth via delivering lectures and direct supervision of students treating patients.
Scott is passionate about digital dentistry and enjoys using new technologies to improve his treatments and the experience of our patients. Utilising the many technologies available at the practice, Scott adopted a computer guided implant surgery approach to improve the accuracy of his treatments. This utilises our intra-oral scanner and 3D x-rays (CBCT scans) to pre-plan the desired implant position.
Scott is Bristol born and bred and loves spending time with his wife and 2 young children. He enjoys seeing the world and playing football and squash.
